This is me in a nutshell... I'm an advocate for creative, strategic graphic design solutions, with a passion for detail, thoughtful conceptualization, color theory, and typography. The work I do is multi-disciplinary but my real passion lies in brand and identity development. Inspired at an early age by my mom and brother, I loved to draw pretty much everything and relentlessly badgered my brother to sketch Smurfs for me—I drove him crazy. My gainfully-employed design career began back in 1992 in my hometown of Toronto (eh) and since then I have worked for large and small design studios in both Toronto and Maryland, working with a multitude of clients in varying industries. Now, as a freelance Creative Director/Art Director/Graphic Designer/Strategic Partner, I get to collaborate closely with some amazing clients to differentiate, innovate, validate, and cultivate their companies—together creating charismatic brand success.

Giving back has always been important to me. Currently I'm serving as secretary on the AAF-Greater Frederick (AAF-GF) board of directors; I've been lucky enough to volunteer my time as an American Advertising Awards judge for some amazing American Advertising Federation (AAF) clubs; Since 2005 I've served on the AAF–GF’s American Advertising Awards committee (including co-chairing the event, twice... It's that much fun!); Each year I volunteer as a portfolio reviewer for AAF–GF/AIGA's Student Portfolio Boot Camp; And I've served as an AAF District 2 American Advertising Awards chair.

One of the mottoes I live by, "Work hard. Play hard." When I'm not being all-design-like, you can find me out and about. I've explored 22 Caribbean islands; Climbed all 2,579 feet of Gros Piton Mountain; Became a certified open water diver; Got my motorcycle license and a motorcycle (I don't ride anymore. It scares me.); I'm a proud chartered member of Firestone's Ale & Lager Club (you have to drink 70 unique beers to get your name on the wall...not all at once); Love tiring out my Boston Terrier, Shiraz; and having as much fun and as many adventures as possible with my loved ones. There's more, but you get it.
